Name: Gabby Delgado
Position: Historian
Date: September 2, 2021
Position Assessment: As a historian, my most important job at the beginning of the year is too take as many pictures as I can of leadership related events. We currently have had Core Camp and Club Rush from the start of the school year. I have also already checked out the software I will be using to build the scrapbook and I am becoming familiar with it. I like how much freedom I have with my position because it provides other committees and my class officers with an extra set of hands if they need it. I need to start preparing myself for homecoming because I will be working side by side with Ms. Ochoa for coronation and taking pictures.
Standing Commitee: I am not apart of any standing committees at the moment but will be later on in the year.
Special Commitee: I am not apart of any special committees at the moment but will be later on in the year.
Mentorship: My mentorship partner is Jennaveve. She is Sophomore and this is her second year in leadership. So far we have bounced ideas off of eachother for the design and theme of our leadership websites. We had a great time brainstorming and asking eachothers opinions of what looks great and what could be changed. I was not in the program last year so she can teach me about leadership during covid and I was apart of leadership my freshman year and can teach her what its like normally.
Concerns: I am concerned about my Junior year. With the new variant of Covid I wonder what the future holds. I really hope that I get to experience a full year of school, with this year being the one. We don’t have as many restrictions as last year with the whole exposure policy and the vaccines, but who knows what could happen in the next 9 months.
Positive Comment: I would like to leave a positive comment for Ava Brocchini. I feel as if Ava has stepped into her position really well. When she wanted to make a poster for powderpuff she went to me for pictures and was not afraid to ask for help. She also jumped into the stats field for football and was also not afraid to ask for help there. I give a lot of credit to her for speaking up when she didn’t know what to do, because most people would stay silent.
Change: One change that I would like to see is not doing the fireworks everyday. As much as I absolutely love it and think its such a cute idea to adjourn class I feel as if we should change it up or do it on a certain day like Friday’s only. I heard people saying they were becoming over it already and my fear is that if we continue doing it every single day it will lose its effects.
Impact: My impact is a small action with a big ripple for our small town. I take sports photography for our school and it is currently football season. I have kids that DM me and ask me to take a couple pictures of them because their never the ones in the spotlight. I have people asking me every game if im going to be there, because this might be the last year they step on the field and they want to capture every second. I have parents that repost my pictures on their instagram, because maybe this time they couldn’t see their kid play, but they have the pictures that tell a story of the game. My impact on the sports community of our town makes me so happy that I don’t know how I will be able to leave it behind.

Position Assessment: As a historian, my most important job at the beginning of the year is too take as many pictures as I can of leadership related events. I have made advancements already in the scrapbook and have collected pictures of Homecoming thank to the class officers sending them to me. I went through picking what pictures I want to use in the book. The software I will be using to build the scrapbook is a little hard to get used to but I will figure it out. I like how much freedom I have with my position because it provides other committees and my class officers with an extra set of hands if they need it. I can’t wait to start building the book!
Standing Commitee: I am not apart of any standing committees at the moment but will be later on in the year.
Special Commitee: I am apart of coronation commitee. I think our committee was really effective in the organization of coronation. We had a meeting immediately and got to brainstorming ideas for what we would use for the reveal. At first we were going to do ornaments of different characters from each disney land of the classes but we settled with mickey ears because they were simple and related to the theme. Naomi did a great job with distributing duties like po’s even though we had a limited amount of people that could help with the risers and handing the boxes for the reveal. We made it through and it was overall a successful event.
I had her tag along with me during lunch to a girls league meeting in hopes of showing her what club meetings were like and to encourage her to join more clubs. We had a fun time running around doing a scavenger hunt, and really had a great time. I can’t wait to get to know her more and go out on double lunch dates with Mak and Claire.
Concerns: I am still concerned about my Junior year. Not only is this the most important year but my motivation has depleted a lot. Also, since the vaccine is being mandated for highschoolers, I will be forced to get it. I am not against getting the vaccine and think it will provide more opportunites for our events but I don’t think its right to force it to further our education.
Positive Comment: I would like to leave a positive comment for Kade Nelson. It is his first year as athletic commissioner and he absolutely killed it. From my point of view (on the field playing) it ran really smooth. During half time he checked on my team to see how we were doing. He was really prepared and I know how much he was stressing about it but he did a great job.
Change: One change that I would like to see is more of specific seating arrangements. I love how Morty says sit with a person from each grade, or two sophmores and the rest freshman, etc. I think it just mixes the seatingc hart up a bit and makes us reach out to other people.
Impact: My impact is a small action with a big ripple for our small town. I take sports photography for our school and it is currently football season. I have changed my instagram page from @rhssportspics to @theripontribe. I wanted to move away from just pictures and maybe focus on more spirit and school event based pictures. I spend a lot of time making publicity photos for the sports. My impact on the sports community of our town makes me so happy that I don’t know how I will be able to leave it behind.

Name: Gabby Delgado
Position: Historian
Date: December 9, 2021
Position Assessment: . As Historian, I feel as if I can do better at my job. I have been asking people for pictures when I see them on their instagram, I have been snagging some from the instagram pages, etc. I am gathering pictures but need to be putting the pages together at the same time. I went through picking what pictures I want to use in the book. I have a little folder that in my phone that is specifically for scrapebook so whener I take or get sent a picture it gets added to the album. The software I will be using to build the scrapbook is a little hard to get used to but I am still getting used to it. I like how much freedom I have with my position because it provides other committees and my class officers with an extra set of hands if they need it. I can’t wait to see what the end result of the book will be.
Standing Commitee: I am not apart of any standing committees at the moment but will be later on in the year.
Special Commitee: No special committees occurred during this time. I was supposed to be apart of a winter fest event for arm and fuzzy, but the officer decided to not do it.
This time she really helped me out. I was gone a day, and we were building our portfolios for the mock interviews and she caught me up on what we had to do. Especially with the formatting since there would obvious be changes from when I was in the program last.
Concerns: My only concern at the moment is finals. I need to study and balance a lot of things at once. Not only is finals stressful enough but I have a basketball tournament that will take me out of class towards the end of the day for two days. I just need to get my stuff together and study hard.
Positive Comment: I would like to leave a positive comment for the sophomore class officers. They did and are still doing a great job with all things December. First they had the winter formal, which I personally thought was successful. I had a bunch of people say that they thought it was going to be bad, but came out of it saying it was really good. We are now in the mist of Warm and Fuzzy week and they are doing great. People seem to be enjoying the days and the the dressing up is not too hard.
Change: One change that I would like to see is talking about the pros and cons of an event right after we do it. While it is still Fresh in our mind, we can breakdown certain events held and see what need to be changed and what we did right. Especially with Winter Formal, I think we should tear it apart.
Impact: Especially around the holidays, being an impact on the people around you is important. This year my basketball team is giving back to a family in need. We choose a family that cannot afford a bountiful Christmas and provide them with gifts, food, and necessities to get them through the holiday season. It really just makes you feel good to make a persons Christmas that much better and to brighten up their holiday.

Position Assessment: .This is the time. Scrape book season has come! I am very excited to finally get this project rolling, and of course, be the best scrape book ever. So far my vision is to make it look as crowded with picture and embellishments as possible. I wanted the design on the cover to be pretty simple and clean because on the inside it will be a chaotic fun color explosion of pictures. People have been doing great on their spreads, I just need them to give me the pictures earlier so I have time for me to upload them. I only have about 10 more pages of men left, so it is going to be great. I have gotten used to the software and the pages are coming along.
Standing Commitee: I am not apart of any standing committees at the moment but will be later on in the year.
Special Commitee: No special committees occurred during this time.
Mentorship: My mentorship partner is Jennaveve. She is Sophomore and this is her second year in leadership. I was not in the program last year so she can teach me about leadership during covid and I was apart of leadership my freshman year and can teach her what its like normally. We haven't really had the chance to connect recently because I have been insanely busy but we always have these short conversations that still mean a lot. Every once in awhile we will run into each other in the halls, but it still feels good to have someone from another grade that has your back and I bet she feels the same way. We will definitely make lunch plans this time around. I am so proud of what she has taken on for link crew.
Concerns: I only have personal concerns. I am nervous but excited for leadership interviews but insanely excited for senior season next year.
Positive Comment: I would like to leave a positive comment for the seniors. I know with their year coming to the end, most seniors have severe senioritis, but they have pushed through. Although they have basically been accepted into college already, they are still out here teaching up about themselves and giving advice through class and their elder projects. I am going to miss them because over these three years they have become some of my friends, which freshman me would have never thought. I am excited for their future but sad to see them go.
Change: One change that I would like to see is more team bonding! I am so excited for Encore this week because I know that it will be really team bonding based and I truly believe we have such a great group of kids that it will be so fun.
Impact: Leadership and JROTC had the opportunity to participate in making lunched for the Kids Against Hunger organization. We spent a little over an hour packing over 17,000 lunches which is absolutely insane. It really makes you step back and think of what you take for granted and all the food that we just careless throw away compared to those that are looking for a bite to eat.

Position Assessment: I would proudly like to announce that the 2021-2022 scrapbook has been completed and it looks wonderful. I was really proud of it and loved how it turned out. I feel as if I fulfilled my purpose as historian, but I still can continue with my purpose as a classmate moving forward, helping out anyone that needs it. I took pictures for Gallery of the Arts and worked with Jaydin to get that in the Ripon Magazine. We have been working on the challenge and I was in the teacher committee. We now need to close out this year and prepare for the next year to come and I am so excited. Senior SZN!
Standing Commitee: I am not apart of any standing committees at the moment but will be later on in the year.
Special Commitee: Teacher and spirit committee for the challenge
Mentorship: My mentorship partner is Jennaveve. She is Sophomore and this is her second year in leadership. I was not in the program last year so she can teach me about leadership during covid and I was apart of leadership my freshman year and can teach her what its like normally. We haven't really had the chance to connect recently because I have been insanely busy but we always have these short conversations that still mean a lot. She always writes me uplifting praises and I save every single one. We just get along so well and I love having her as my mentor. I like sitting in our mentorships because it just means catching up with her again.
Concerns: My concern is mostly for next year. Juniors being Seniors need constant reminding that we are the last class that has actually experience what highschool has to offer, at least for the first part of the year. We just need to remember that so we can teach others,
Positive Comment: I would like to leave a positive comment for the seniors. I know with their year coming to the end, most seniors have severe senioritis, but they have pushed through. Their farewells make me almost cry because I am genuinely so sad to see them go. Like even I tear up a little and they aren’t even to me. They are some of my favorite people ever and made my highschool experience so great.
Change: There isn’t really a change I would like to see except for more time as a class enjoying the little time we have left while getting our work done. We have been doing that and I absolutely love it.
Impact: An impact that I have had is sharing my knowledge of core camp to the newbies and youngins. My goal was to make them excited to go and I think it worked because even I got worked up. The memories popping back up n my mind made me so excited.

Position Assessment: The 2021-2022 scrapbook has been completed it has successfully came in, and was shown at the banquet. I was really proud of it and loved how it turned out. As this year comes to an end, I reflect back on my work and I am very proud. I think I honored my promise of making the best scrapbook ever, Now I just have to figure out how to top next year. I am also excited about getting a trainee and teaching her the ways of the scrapbook. We now need to close out this year and prepare for the next year to come and I am so excited. Senior SZN!
Standing Commitee: I am not apart of any standing committees at the moment
Special Commitee: I was apart of the teacher committee for the challenge and I thought our committee went smoothly. We packed all the bags and gave the extra to Morty. Who doesn’t love extra lotions and gum right? I have seen some of the air fresheners in many of my teachers classroom, and that made me happy that they were utilitzing our gifts.
Mentorship: My mentorship partner is Jennaveve. She is Sophomore and this is her second year in leadership. I was not in the program last year so she can teach me about leadership during covid and I was apart of leadership my freshman year and can teach her what its like normally. I reflect back on my mentorship and see the growth that has occurred. I knew her faintly before because of mutual friends but never really go to know her, and only knew who she was because she was running as the same position as me. But I was really glad when Avery paired us together. She has helped me in many ways, because although I was in the program freshman year, Covid did alter many things that I wasnt apart of but she was. She has such a bright future and I hope we still say hi to each other in the halls!
Concerns: My concern is for rallies next year. I really don’t want them to get messed up due to the behavior of Freshman and Sophomores. This is going to be my Senior Year, and I will be really disappointed if we do not have rallies. Then again, the upperclassmen have to lead by example, and we havent been in a rally in 2 years. Crossing my fingers for the best.
Positive Comment: I would like to leave a positive comment for Anthony and Emma. Little Freshman Gabby would have never imagined being friends with them but they were so welcoming, kind and supportive. Now they are leaving for college and I am so sad. Emma is someone I can always go to if I need to rant, or to make pickles, either one. Anthony has become of one the most supportive friends, especially with track and school. Our friendship happened really quick but now hes going to Standford and setting up his. I really don’t want to see them go but I am so proud of them.
Change: There isn’t really a change I would like to see except for more time as a class enjoying the little time we have left while getting our work done. We have been doing that and I absolutely love it.
Impact: To switch it up, I decided to not say and impact I had but the impact someone had on me. I was so scared and stressed for Mock Interviews, especially with how Morty was saying how legit she was, and the research I have done. I was so happy when the interview with General escallier was over because she was the most amazing, badass person ever. She spoke with such knowledge of not only her position but the different branched in the profession. She still to this day gives me so much insight, and I am so grateful to have met a wonderful person. THANKS MORTY.
Position: Historian
Date: May 19, 2022
Position Assessment: The 2021-2022 scrapbook has been completed it has successfully came in, and was shown at the banquet.
